As you make your custom selections, the price will immediately update. Once you are happy with the design, simply pay the $500 quote acceptance fee to lock in the price.

Can I make a change to my plan?

Build-Buy BBFAQSN

To deliver a fast, easy hassle-free quality home, as well as keeping costs to a minimum, preselected options are offered in our build & buy process. Once you have agreed to the inclusions on your quotation and formal contracts have been ordered no further structural changes to your plan will be permitted. However, if you would like to make upgrades to your homes internal fixtures and fittings i.e. tiles, tapware, lighting and more – you can book an appointment in the Everyday Homes Design Hub. The Design Hub allows you to view the same upgrade options from our online builder in person with an experienced Interior Design Consultant. If you require more customisation, we recommend you purchase from our Designer Series range where one of our design consultants will customise a home design and level of inclusion with you.

What is BASIX?

Build-Buy BBFAQSN

BASIX stands for ‘Building and Sustainability Index’ – it’s a NSW energy efficiency rating scheme. Each new build within NSW must meet the minimum requirements of energy efficiency set out by BASIX. Our online builder provides options where you can select from one of our BASIX packages to lower household energy; water use and increase the wellbeing of the home occupants.

How long will the new home purchase and building process take?

Being an online purchase with automated systems the length of the process is approx. 3 months shorter than purchasing from builders who have retail display homes only. From when the building consent is obtained, single stories homes normally take 30 weeks and double storey homes 36 weeks to construct. Our client portal will provide you with live images at each critical stage so that you only visit the construction at your leisure.

Does Everyday Homes look after building approvals?

Yes. Everyday Homes will take care of the all the building approvals and applications on your behalf.

Where do you build?

Build-Buy BBFAQSN

You can purchase a home from Build & Buy where your land is in South-West Sydney growth region. Your block of land also needs to permit CDC (Complying Development compliance) so we can deliver your home in the shortest timeframe available.

Who determines the site classification for my block of land?

Build-Buy BBFAQSN

Everyday Homes engages an engineer who will conduct a soil test and the site classification which will determine type of footing system required.

Who determines the site-specific requirements for my block of land?

Build-Buy BBFAQSN

The requirements for your individual block of land are initially determine by the builder during the site inspection (if applicable) and pre-planning assessment. As part of the building approval the building accessor will complete the compliance checks.

Am I able to determine any of the site-specific requirements for my block of land myself?

Build-Buy BBFAQSN

Yes, you can by reviewing the 10.7 certificate for your block of land which you can order from council. If you are building within an estate where there are developer guidelines, you can also determine their criteria.

What is the $500 non-refundable preliminary fee for?

Build-Buy BBFAQSN

The fee is for Everyday homes to undertake a site inspection and produce your Tender documents which will form part of your building contract. Should we determine that we are unable to build on your land then we will refund your $500 payment in full.
