At Everyday Homes, we understand the process of building your home can be overwhelming, that’s why we have prepared an easy step by step guide that will help you understand the home process from when you first walk into our display home to the day when you are presented with the keys to your new home and your family moves in.
Step by Step Guide
Step 1 – Contact Us
Visit one of our display homes or call us on 1300 725 500 to discuss your new home.
Step 2 – Choose your design and location.
Our experienced and friendly design staff will assist you in choosing a home and location that suits your lifestyle and budget
Step 3 – To meet your budget
Once we have established your needs and your design, we will present you with an easy to read quotation. Our team will help you go through the costs and ensure they meet your budget.
Step 4 – Colour Selection and Development Approvals
Upon acceptance of the quote and payment to the first part of the acceptance fee, Everyday Homes can now prepare plans for approvals.
Everyday Homes will arrange for you to visit our state-of-the-art colour selection centre where a Design and Colour Specialist work with you to choose your colours and finishes for your home.
Once we have your selection, your plans can be submitted to the relevant authorities for approval.
Step 5 – Contracts
As soon as you have approved your plans, Everyday Homes will prepare the HIA building contract for your review and sign off.
Step 6 – Building your new home
Once all approvals are complete, Everyday Homes will commence work on building your dream home. First you will be introduced to your Construction Coordinator who will be there throughout the construction of your home and available to answer any questions you might have.
Your project will have a dedicated Construction Supervisor who will be responsible for your construction and will keep you up to date on the progress by arranging onsite inspections so you can check on the progress of your home.
Step 7 – Move in and enjoy
Upon construction completion of your home, your Construction Supervisor will arrange a final inspection with you where you will complete a walkthrough of your home so to ensure that all inclusions, fixtures and fittings meet your expectations.
Once you are satisfied with your final inspection, a formal handover is conducted by your Construction Coordinator. You will receive all instructions manuals, warranties, certificates and most importantly your keys.
Its time to move in and enjoy your new home.
